The slot in your area might still be open.
toothhurt.com places one participating dental office per ZIP code in the Greater Los Angeles area. Flat monthly fee. No per-lead billing. When someone in your ZIP submits an inquiry through toothhurt.com, it goes to you, and nobody else.
How we make our money, and why it sits right next to yours
You know how this goes from your own life. You ask about one car online, and suddenly six dealerships are blowing up your phone. You get a single quote on car insurance, and the calls do not stop for a week. You buy one thing online, and somehow you are on a dozen email lists you never signed up for. That is how most lead companies make their living. They take your one bit of interest and sell it to everybody at once, and the more times they sell it, the better they do. Whether any of those callers is actually right for you was never their concern.
We cannot make a dollar that way. You pay us one flat fee, the same every month, so sending you more names does not put an extra penny in our pocket. The only thing that earns us anything is you looking back after a few months and being glad you came to us in the first place. So that becomes the whole job. Send you the kind of patient you are happy to see walk in, and keep doing it, so you never have a reason to go looking anywhere else. We are not in this for a quick fling. We are after the kind of working relationship you count in years, not months.
A stack of leads is not a full schedule
Talk to enough dentists and you hear the same complaint. The leads nobody wants are the ones who show up once to get a tooth pulled, pay, and disappear. That is not a practice, that is a treadmill. The patients worth having are the folks looking for a dentist to call their own. The family that just moved to town and needs somebody for the long haul. The new parent who wants one office their whole family can stick with for years. The person who finally got insurance and means to use it. Those are the people we go looking for on purpose. We fold in the after-hours folks too, and every single month we hand you a plain rundown of what came in, so you are never left guessing.
Yours means yours
When your area is taken on toothhurt.com, the inquiries from your ZIP belong to you. No splitting. No rotation. No shared list with the practice down the street. That is by design.
The day you come on, your area closes. We do not add a second office to a taken ZIP, regardless of how large the area is or how much someone else is willing to pay. We close it, and we keep it closed while you are in. That is what exclusive means.
Our criteria
We are selective about who we work with. Not selective in a pretentious way. Selective in the way that matters for the people we are sending to you.
The patients we route to participating offices are often people who have not had a regular dentist in a while, or who are new to the area, or who are just getting started with coverage. They are looking for somewhere to land, not somewhere to show up once and never come back. The offices that get the most out of this arrangement are the ones whose teams follow through on callbacks, treat the first visit like the beginning of something, and would be glad to have the same patient back in two years.
If your practice runs on volume of one-time visits, we are probably not the right fit. If you want the kind of patient who remembers your name and sends their family, we might be.
We answer to the same board you do
Tooth Hurt LLC is registered as a dental advertising entity in California. We operate under Business and Professions Code Section 650.2. That registration sets the lines we stay inside: we describe the geography of our service, we describe what the process is, and we do not make clinical representations about any patient or any office.
We route by ZIP code only. We do not evaluate which office is a better fit for which patient. We do not represent that the office in a given ZIP is recommended, preferred, or superior to any other. We are a registered advertising entity routing consumer inquiries geographically, and the routing logic is public.
toothhurt.com is operated by Tooth Hurt LLC, an independent marketing service registered in California. It is not a dental practice and does not employ dentists.
One more thing, so we are square up front
Reaching out to us does not get you a ZIP code. There is one slot in any given area, and the day a dentist takes it, that area is closed, no matter how many other offices come knocking and no matter how busy that part of town gets. We keep it scarce on purpose. We are not trying to sign every dentist with a checkbook, and we will walk away from real money to avoid taking on the wrong office. What we care about most is plain. We want to work with dentists who genuinely care about the person in the chair, who are in this to take care of folks and not just to bill them. That matters to us more than the fee does. That is what Tooth Hurt stands for, and it is what we are hoping to find in you.
Try it before any money changes hands
Before you sign a thing or pay a dime, we will go out and bring in real patient inquiries in your ZIP code and hand them straight to you. Work them like you would any other new patient. If your front desk likes what comes back, we will talk about locking up your area. If they do not, it cost you nothing but a little time, and we learned something ourselves.
